Giulia Beck

I am currently studying communication design at Hof University of Applied Sciences in Germany. I am always seeking exciting new projects and opportunities to experience, create and broaden my horizons. My passion lays in empowering people through design.

Journey

I was born in Italy, raised in Germany and spent two years in the Philippines. This gave me a greater understanding of international exchanges as I was faced with it nearly every day.

I realized my passion for creative work at a young age and attended the Städtische Fachoberschule für Gestaltung in Munich, Germany, where I achieved my A levels, majoring in design. In the process of gaining my A levels, I gained experience in painting, illustrative work, photography, stopmotion, wood work, sculpting with glass and animation.

Experience forms opinions. Therefor, I want to experience as much as I can. This lead me to do jobs in various fields, ranging from medieval events, retail, teaching, catering and sales. Having insights of several areas helps me in designing from multiple angles.

I am currently studying communication design at Hof University of Applied Sciences in Germany where I am aiming for my bachelor’s degree. Throughout this time, I am further developing my skillset as a communication designer and gaining more experience on several projects ranging from editorial, to UX design, interactive design and storytelling.
